What Causes Black Mucus In The Throat And Mild Chest Pain?

Question: There is blackish mukus coming in early morning and feel mild discomfort in chest. I met GP he conducted sputum test and fungle infection identified. Pls suggest what should i do. Is it so dangarous.

A fungal infection of the chest can be cured with antibiotics. Worrying would not help. You need to be patient and take the medicines and gradually you would recover. The infection can be dangerous and life threatening only if left untreated.

Discuss with your doctor whether he thinks that oral antifungals would suffice or whether intravenous antifungals are likely to be needed.
