What Causes Belching And Feeling Of Emptiness In Stomach?

Question: I am having this empty pit feeling in my stomach and I have eaten. Feels like I want to belch at times and can not. When I do eat feeling momentarily goes away and maybe 20 mins later I have feeling of a BM. (Well today only) I had an enormous soft BM 3 times today and right after same empty pit feeling. Been feeling like this since I awakened @0545.

i read your question and i understand your concern. Belch like feeling, inability to belch, deranged bowel movements, soft stools, all for short period of time may be attributed to some thing to you ate or acute stomach flu. Take some pepto, some tums, increase fluids, more fiber and avoid spices, stimulants, coffee, alcohol, beverages, processed and canned foods. Eat small frequent meals. Take Only BRAT ( Banana, rice , applesauce and toast) in diet til the bowel movements get back to normal.

If the symptoms persists for more than a week then get evaluated for other etiologies like irritable bowel syndrome etc . I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
