What Causes Anemia And Vitamin D Deficiency?

Question: Hi, I am hereby attaching my wife's blood report.
Wife's details:
Age: 31
Weight: 50 Kgs
Height: 5 feet 4 inches
Food Habit: Non-vegeterian
Her reports show abnormal Hemogram (MCH, MCHC, RDW-SD, RDW-CV, PDW, MPV. He has low vitamin-D levels and also has little increased alkaline phosphatase in liver. She is slim and fit. She has suffered 3-4 times from E.Coli infection in her urine since age 19. She also has a nodule of size around 2 inch x 2 inch in her left breast which has undergone FNAC and was normal 2 years ago.

I am attaching her latest blood reports and want to know why these are abnormal. What steps I need to take including medicine and food habits.

Kindly specify the food she should take or any specific medication.

Please suggest.

Start iron supplements with Calcium Vit D3

Hi XXXXXXX It seems your wife has nutritional or iron deficiency anemia along with Vit D deficiency. Her Thyroid profile is normal. Most of her reports are borderline, so don’t worry. Start her on high iron diet with lots of green vegetables and nuts. You can add iron supplements like Autrin, etc which can be taken for three months as also Tablets of Calcium plus Vit D3 twice daily. Then repeat the test after 3 months. As for lump breast, you should get a repeat FNAC done and if it troubles her, then it can be removed surgically. Take care and feel free to ask any clarifications.

Hi XXXXXXX Good to know you are from nearby. You can use Capsule Autrin for iron supplementation and ask for any good company Tablet which has Calcium with Vitamin D3 like Intacal-D. Cap Autrin twice daily and also Calcium twice daily. Also add on Tab Pyridoxine once a day. Take for three months and then repeat investigations thereafter. Take care.
