What Causes An Abscess On The Jawline?

Question: Hi, i had an abscess on my jaw line and neck caused by an ingrown hair. I had 2 courses of antibiotics and had to get it drained at the hospital. The abscess is away now but my beard wont grow back where it was. This was about 2 months ago. Will the hair come back eventually ?

Based on your description, it appears that the abscess has caused considerable damage to the hair follicles in the area.

Topical minoxidil with zinc supplementation can be advised initially.
Hair follicle transplant would be the option left if the above doesn't work.
