Posted on Fri, 24 Jun 2016
Question: Hi..
A week back I had a pimple like thing appeared under my chin, As I have shaved since then, it seems have spread all over my right side of face and chin. It becomes quite itchy at times and I am not able to shave coz of they have multiplied. Normally by this time any pimple could have healed, which does not seems the case. Have uploaded the snap, but this may not be that evident coz of grown beard. Could you kindly advise some remedy to get this over.

Brief Answer:
liquid povidone iodone locally.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history and understood your concerns about skin lesions under the chin a week ago which increased in number after shaving. It becomes a problem as shaving is not possible.
As pimples heal by this time and healing has not ocvured you are worried..
The history and picture is suggestive of contagious skin infection which has spread due shaving.
I would advise you the followong.:
Apply liquid povidone iodine 2 to 3 days to the affected area.
Oral antibiotic may help early and complete recovery. You need a prescription for this.

I hope this answer helps you. Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
