Posted on Sat, 4 Oct 2014
Question: hi, I have a long problem with acidic taste coming out of tooth. I went to my periodontist and he did a 3D image and we decided to pull out the tooth. I still have the problem. He retired, so I went to a dentist with my problem and he decided to give a root canal and made a bridge also for a missing tooth. I still have a same problem. The acid is making a lot of pain for me. At the same time I tried acid reflux medications (Nexium, Prilosec) did not change to much and my stomach was hurting. I stop taking it and tried natural remedies. Nothing is working. My dentist send me endodontic, periodontics oral sergeant and nothing.....
The endodontic sad he can do things however non will help and suggest to pull the tooth to solve the problem. The periodontics want to do surgery but not promise that will help. The oral sergeant send me back to my dentist and told food goes the tooth and need to correct it . I was begging to pull out the tooth and e not willing to do that. I waking up every night my head hurts and my kidney hurts. I have to do something very quickly. Please help..........

Brief Answer:
GERD, hiatal hernia, ultra sound

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.

As far as the acid taste is concerned, I have two possibilities.
It can be because of gastroesophgeal reflux disease.
The other possibility can be because of the hiatal hernia or severe gastritis.
These conditions can also cause pain in abdomen and kidney region.

Nothing to be panic, consult a gastroenterologist and get it ruled out. Get an ultrasound of the abdomen to rule out any organ enlargement.

Once the GERD is diagnosed, then it can be treated accordingly. Till then do not get any teeth extracted.

I hope my answer will help you. If any queries are there reply me back.
Take care.
