What Causes Abdominal Pain That Lasts For Months?
Question: Dear Dr.
I had taken Nexpro rd capsule on empty stomach and went for taking bath and getting ready to go to office it was more than 1hr time when I bent to whipe my leg with towel and wanted to take breakfast.when i had bent severly the abdominal pain started and it was continuous and I couldn't go to office. From that day i am getting sever abdominal pain around 4.30am and it is continuous till night daily.I am not able to go to office from past 2 months. doctor.pl.explain me in detail for the cause of pain. Please suggest and save me from this horror pain.Can it be cured with medicine and without any surgery.

Pain abdomen lasting for months has to be taken seriously.
Barium meal follow through showed some problem in the gut.It indicates Intestinal obstruction due to Malrotation or Band.As the obstruction is partial, you have not developed Vomiting and Absolute constipation. There is a chance of Acute Intestinal obstruction developing in future.
In my opinion, you should consult a Surgical Gastroenterologist, get examined clinically. please show him Barium meal follow through report. I prefer to get a CT Scan abdomen with Oral contrast.If it's report is also same,I would like to go for Surgery.Please do not have negative feelings about Surgery. There are no medicines for Malrotation or Band.
