Let him continue the prescribed medications.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, Hi & Welcome.
Thanks for posting your query on Health Care Magic.
I have gone through the history given in your query.
I am of the opinion that he has some sort of intestinal infection for which the tablet O2 is prescribed, let him complete the course of this medications.
1. For his stomach trouble he may be given a proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole to counteract the acidity caused by the side effects of the prescribed medication O2.
2. Hematocrit is tested to as a part of a complete blood count (CBC) to rule out anemia.
3. The normal range of Hematocrit is 38.8 to 50 percent for men, hence the given result is normal for your husband.
4. He should take lots of oral fluids, juices, fruits, soft diet. He should avoid red meat, beans, beer (if he consumes) to lower the uric acid.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful to him.
If you have any follow up query, I shall be glad to answer it.
Best wishes.
