Brief Answer:
Few more information needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

It would help me more in trying to solve your problem if you could please let me have some more information as stated below:

1) The duration of your symptoms
2) Do you have any fever either continuous or intermittent ?
3) How much weight have you lost within what time ?
4) Do you eat frequently from outside like fried, oily, and fast food kind of food?

Till then, you could go for a proton pump inhibitor drug, and an antacid gel. However, in case your symptoms have increased in intensity, then I would advise you to report to the ER of your nearest hospital at the earliest.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Expecting to listen from you soon. Dr Shareef.

Brief Answer:
Better if you could show yourself up in the ER

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good morning. Good to listen from you so soon which shows your concern towards your health.

With all your present history, if I were your doctor, I would go for a routine blood test of yours like a complete blood count, ESR, blood sugar (both fasting and post prandial), a fever profile, a urine routine/microscopic test.

The main idea would be to exclude any chances of diabetes (not very usual in this age) associated with any source of infection which is giving rise to the fever. The pain in the chest could be due to an associated pulmonary infection, which might need a chest X ray as well. All this needs a complete physical examination of yours along with all related investigations by a doctor in your area preferably a medicine specialist.

However, initial assessment in the ER room of your nearest hospital is indicated now if you could visit there instead of waiting till Monday, specially to rule out Diabetes (just one of the possibility and not necessarily be the cause in your case).

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

I wish you an early recovery. Good luck. Dr Shareef.
