Question: Hi ,

I really need help on this please help me.last year i faced throat problem in month of october i have taken azithromycin for a week.but doent work for me and my throat getting worse having tonsil problem as well .but some how i went to dr they given antibiotic its work for me but since from last year it getting repeated same problem throat uwalva getting white patch upper surface getting inflammation and swallow pain in back side of throat not able to eat spicy ,sourfull n kind of chilli thing .dr are saying this pharangitis.everyday i am doing gurgle with salt water keep avoiding any chilli spices but still its not going permanently .

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infection of your tonsil along with inflammation of the pharynx. White patch is because of keratosis . Since u have chronic throat infection , i would suggest you to get a throat swab for culture and sensitivity test done.There is drug resistance for Azihromyxin usually. Empirically , you can take anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 5 days to relieve your pain. Commonest Drug of choice for throat infection is amoxicillin 500 mgwith clavulunic acid 125 mgcombination for 5 to 7 days. Continue Betadine gargling twice daily for 2 weeks. Depending on the culture report u can consult with doctor and take prescription medicines. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.

Thanks dr. But as of know i dont have that much worse condition but still i am not able to eat normal spice in my daily food specially any kind of chilli .but wanted to tell u there is redies spots has been come on back surface of throat .continuously feeling little dryness .taking access water .i am not taking any spicy food from long time .done all repoert like blood culture ,cbc all are normal.no sinus no cold no chest burning .only problem with throat with reddies in upper surface when it get hearted then start white patches with tonsil n killing pain. And not able to eat normal food from long time.

Hi, thanks for your query. Apart from earlier treatment u can try multivitamin supplement for 3 months. Betadine gargling and candid mouth paint if proven to be fungal infection of mouth. Consult with the doctor and get treated. Thanks.

Please suggest me the good dr in XXXXXXX which u really feels able to understand and solve my problem but realy wanted to know root cause of this problem.as i already went to multivitamin course for 2 months its not going to work me again .some times dr also gone through gastroic treatment which is not going to work for me.
