What Causes A White Mass On The Uvula?

Question: I have noticed I have been feeling like something is sticking in my throat for a couple of weeks. Just saw white mass on uvula. Unfortunately I am a smokeless tobacco user, and feel like I know the answer. Thoughts?

Based on your description and the image which you uploaded, the diagnosis should be confirmed on histopathology evidence.

Smoking and tobacco are associated with respiratory and other malignancies but growth or swelling alone won't allow clinically to be termed as malignant or non malignant.

The white growth can be associated with differential diagnosis such as papilloma, candidiasis, ulceration healed mucosa.

PPIs, oral hygiene maintenance and ENT opinion should be sought.
