Brief Answer:
Either warts or skin tags

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and it is either wart or skin tag.
Warts are a viral infection whereas skin tags are benign growths of the skin.
As far as treatment is concerned it is same for both.
You need to consult a dermatologist and get it removed by radiosurgery or electrocautery.
Warts are usually contacted by using infected persons towel, clothes or shaving instruments. To prevent its recurrence you need to avoid sharing of things.
Skin tags have no specific reason to occur except they are common in persons having insulin resistance and hypothyroidism.
Rule out these by getting your TSH and Fasting serum insulin levels checked.
I Hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Thanks Dr. Asmeet,

I also gone through some online search, and it surely is skin tag and not wart.

I recently had Fasting serum insulin checked and it was found at the level of 108, which was told ok (But slight higher than the normal) and walking of atleast 30 minutes daily was recommended.
So the skin tag can be because of that or any other reason could be there part from that.

Any recommendation in the life style change?
Any special precaution for the skin tag?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Can be related to increased insulin levels , go for lifestyle modification

Detailed Answer:
Skin tags can be seen in normal individuals but they are also associated with insulin resistance and obesity.
In your case they can be related to higher insulin levels.
So life style modification is important to prevent their further occurence.
Go for regular walks, eat healthy, increase the intake of fruits and vegetables, decrease fat intake in your diet and reduce weight if you are overweight.
