Thank you. I will see my GP on my return from holiday to the UK. I can see darker colours within the mole and have read that different colours within a mole are a cause for concern. Why do you believe it to be ok in this occassion

The mole is also raised is this more of a concern? Why do moles like this grow later in life as it certainly has not always been there?
You mentioned change of colour within the mole - what colour change would cause concern and over what period of time might this happen? Eg is it usually fast or slow change?

Brief Answer:
Raised mole is not of concern, moles can develop at any age,

Detailed Answer:
Raised mole is not at all a concern.
There is a subtype of moles which are called intradermal moles and they are mostly raised only.
There is no specific age occurence for moles.
They can start at any age in anybody.
Regarding colour change it should be different colours like black, brown or red in the same mole and it should be sudden in onset and over a short period of time.
