Question: My 18 year old daughter just informed me that she noticed a lump a little bigger than a pea beside her vaginal lips...she said it ws there on wednesday..should i be concerned..i told her to put warm compresses on it ..it does not hurt to walk or irritate her in any way

She had menigitis at 13 months old...

Hi,

I understand your concern.

Your 18 years old daughter is reporting a lump inside the vaginal lips , lump of bean size.

As this is not painful, can you please send a photo of that to me so I can evaluate myself?

If no discharge, the lump could be Bartholin's cyst. That is not worrisome, do not squeeze. Continue with warm compresses, and see if discharge is coming out.

However a good physical examination would give a help.
