What Causes A Dent On Forehead?

Question: my daughter 33 years old has sudden new dent in her forehead about 1.5 inches long, in the middle of the right side. What could cause this and does it need to be checked out? Can recreational drugs cause such a thing? She seems feel ok but is perplexed and confused as to what is happening.
