Question: what is a lump on the back of my hand betwen my middle and ring finger? E-mail- XXXX It is like a cyct, a little larger than a pea. If I make a fist, then straiten my fingers, my ring finger kind of "pops over center" before straitening out.

The commonest cause of cyst like lump at a place you have mentioned is due to ganglion or inflammation of the tendon.
The feeling of popping in the ring finer is called trigger finger and again is due to inflammation of the tendon.
A course of an anti-inflammatory medications, splinting, local injection of steroids and tests to rule out diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and gout may help with the problem that you have.
