Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

It is possible for your symptoms to be related with acid reflux.
In this condition the acid stomach moves up into esophagus causing inflammation of the esophagus lining.Sometimes the symptoms are very obvious and the patients have typical heartburn (a burning sensation or pain in the center of chest).
In other causes the symptoms are not so obvious and can cause only a feeling of discomfort in the chest.

I would suggest to avoid fatty ,processed ,spicy foods.Avoid drinks that contain caffeine (coffee ,tea ,energy drinks etc).Avoid acidic drinks like juice drinks .
You should eat small frequent meals instead of 3 major meals.Avoid lying down at least 2 hours after eating.
Drink plenty of water and make sure to exercise regularly.

I would suggest to start a PPI drug like Omperazole 20 mg once a day 30 min before a meal for 2 weeks and see if your symptoms will improve.

Hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,

Brief Answer:
it can make the acid reflux worse.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Yes, smoking can make the symptoms of acid reflux worse because it is known to irritate the stomach and esophagus lining.
Even only the process of smoking can make the condition worse because when your smoke you hold the breath ,which increase intrabdominal pressure .This increases the reflux of acid from stomach to esophagus.

I would really suggest to avoid smoking for some time.

Take care.
