What Causes A Bump Under The Skin In The Antecubital Area?

Question: Hello, I have a hard pea-sized bump under my skin in the antecubital area. I appeared 2 years ago after getting blood work (which is when I first noticed it). I told my family doctor who wasn't concerned. It hasn't grown and can't be seen only felt. I appears to be attached to a tendon or muscle and causes occasional pain when I more my elbow a lot.

Brief Answer: thrombophlebitis Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for the query. It might be thrombophlebitis that is inflammation of vein. During blood work up vein gets injured. Later fibrosis develops in the injured vein and leads to lump formation. You dont need to worry if the lump is not growing in size. Slowly it will subside. If there is increase in size, ultrasound of affected area may be required. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you

Thank you for your response. My doctor told me that she did not think it was connected to a vein, as that is what I thought at first. But it's definitely connected to something that feels like a vein. She told me to let her know if it has grown, but it hasn't at all, maybe gotten slightly smaller. It has been on my arm for two years and cannot be visibly seen. It's hurts at times when I touch it or move my elbow a lot, especially when typing. Is is normal for fibrosis to last for 2 years? What can I do to assist it in going away? Or with the pain?
