What Causes A Bump On The Labia Minora?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Dec 2016
Question: About 2 months ago a bump popped up on my labia minora, just on the outer side of my lips where it meets the rest of the labia minora skin. Kinda just tucked away in this fold. (if you take the lips with 2 fingers and fold them to one side, it sits just here. So the inner area but outside of the lip rather than on the inner just next to the urinary hole- does this make sense?) It started small and built up remaining very firm. I started to put tea tree on it and after about a week, I noticed a teeny head in it. It was about the size of a very small pea. I squeezed it and white puss shot out of it. It had a light but off smell! It fully drained with no pain caused and what remained is just the sack like skin. From there it has continued to build up every few days/once a week enough for me to squeeze it. The first week or 2 I could squeeze it even more often and it would squirt out white/clear liquid.

Now, what I squeeze out of it is more white like and not as watery.

It still does not hurt at all. Can you please tell me what you think this is.

I also don't know if this is related but I have been a lot more sexually aroused lately and finding I have a lot more moisture down there. I am just thinking maybe this also reflects something with hormones- related or unrelated. My boobs also hurt a lot more and for a lot longer this period than any previous from what I remember. I finished menstruating around 1 week ago and am still so sensitive. Is this related? Or can you help me with this too please!

Thankyou.

Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bump that you have noticed with discharge regularly building up in it is likely to be a sebaceous cyst or a Bartholin's cyst. It needs a surgical excision to avoid repeated accumulation of the secretions. It is not related to hormonal changes of tenderness of boobs. The sexual stimulation can be due to irritation of clitoris next to it.
