Brief Answer:
Apply topical antibiotic, consult doctor if no improvement in next 2 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Health Care Magic

You need to apply topical antibiotic like Neosporin ointment on the boil twice daily.
If it doesn't show improvement in 2 days consult a doctor as you may require oral antibiotics as well.
No need to apply Lotrimin cream as it is an antifungal and won't be effective in the treatment of boil.

Brief Answer:
No need of doctor's prescription to get neosporin ointment

Detailed Answer:
If the boil is completely covered topical antibiotic may not act very well.
You don't need to have a doctor's prescription to get neosporin.
You can try it for 2 days.
If there is no improvement you need to consult a doctor.
