What Causes A Black Patch On The Forehead?

Question: wife has a black patch appearing on forehead Last 2/3 weeks....she is not aware that whether she had hurt herself...do we need to be alarmed by the same?

left side of forehead...as compared to right forehead..it is very light black and may be not realisable in snapshot

Remedy for pigmented area on forehead

Thank you. I have viewed the Images.

I can make an ill-defined area of pigmentation on righ side of forehead. I would keep a possibility of either lichen planus pigmentosus (in response to sun) or toxic melanosis (in response to some topical cream/ cosmetic).
I would suggest that she uses a broad spectrum sunscreen throughout the day e.g Suncros tint sunscreen (spf 50), every 2-3 hours.
In addition she may use a topical medication at night for skin lightening e.g Clearz XXXXXXX cream. This cream contains a combination of fluocinolone acetonide, hydroquinone and tretinoin which would help lighten the area.
