Brief Answer:
No,it is not swine flu.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Swine flu has become pandemic at present.
As it is a influenza virus having symptoms like fever, chills, sore throat, bodyache, headache, cough, vomiting and diarrhoea.
This H1N1 virus grows fast (within 3 to 6 hours) after infection and symptoms starts to appearing.
These are the few symptoms which differentiates it from seasonal flu and/or common cold like in swine flu there will be high fever 101 to 102 degree, non productive and non- mucus cough, severe chest discomfort and severe body pain.
So,if you are just having body pain or head pain or eye pain without above symptoms then it can not be swine flu.
However, swine flu is diagnosed by laboratory testing of respiratory sample I.e.nose and throat swabs and real time PCR technique to detect viral RNA.
Hope you will understand this swine flu information.

Brief Answer:
parcetamol is a OTC drug but avoid self medication

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for follow-up query.
First you don't have swine flu that is clear.
99 degree Fahrenheit is very mild fever and usually no medication required for that.
You can do tepid sponging over forehead to reduce temperature.
Paracetamol is a OTC drug and no medical prescription is required for that.
If you have headache with mild fever then you must take advise from near by GP although its not a serious at all but it would be advisable if you see a doctor and then take a medicine.
I always tell my patient not to have self medication.
Thanks and Regards,

Brief Answer:
Here are some tips to prevent this infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Travelling with swine flu patient will always be risky.
As it spreads through direct contact to a person having such a infection I.e. droplet infection.
When person is sneezing, coughing or even spitching he sheds millions of virus into the air and by breathing this virus contains air or touch to a place containing virus.
So,always wear mask (although it doesn't give 100 % protection) and do not touch your mouth, nose, eyes with dirty or unwashed hands.
Here are some tips to prevent this infection.
1) Hand wash frequently.
2) Do not touch your face or its parts with dirty hands.
3) Gargling twice a day with warm salt water or listerine.it has a same effect on healthy individual as tamiflu on infected one.
4) Clear your nostrils frequently in a day.
5) Boost your natural immunity with citrus fruits and vitamins.
6) Drink as much as warm liquids like tea, coffee,
Thanks and regards,
