default
Posted on Mon, 18 May 2015
Question: I just got over the flu after over a week of fever and all of the regular flu symptoms. No more fever. While coughing (Very violent) I felt something pop outside of my ribcage. Now there is burning pain and is more severe the more I move. It feels like something is moving around. My guess is a hernia, what should I do?

Brief Answer:
It could not be Hernia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it doesn't look like Hernia.
Hernia occurs at weak areas or through some defect.
Hernia cannot occur from chest wall.
CT Scan of the Chest will confirm any disease.
I prescribe Skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside along with Rabeprazole to my patients with similar complaints.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
