Question: hello ive been asking a lot of questions, however, been dealing with a lot this past year with thyroid and its caused my whole body to go out of wack. my levels are good now so far after months of trying to get levels straight, how ever im still not feeling well and doc seems to think its cfs. i had mono 10 yrs ago and had it for 2 yrs and my doc seems to think i have cfs from it and i remeber after i had it, i.still felt badly even tho virus was gone. basically i. haven't been the same since. my question is can cfs come and go? and does it ever go away? thanks again for answering all my questions.

CFS or chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition that may have both physical as well as psychogenic cause. The symptoms may be waxing and waning i.e. at times it might feel better while at other times it may feel worse. With medication and behavioral therapy it may go away completely but proper motivation is essential.
