Brief Answer:
Temporary stroke.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

TIA ( transient ischemic attack ) is a stroke ( similar symptoms ), but lasting few minutes to few hours and leaves no permanent damage.

It is caused mainly by a blood clot blocking blood supply of a part of the brain.

Symptoms depend on the localization and may include:

- paralysis on one side of the body

- speech problems

- imbalance, dizziness, coordination issues

- temporary blindness in one eye

MRI is the imaging study of choice.

Prevention includes control of risk factors (treatment of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes ), and improving lifestyle (being active, stop smoking, drinking, healthy diet, etc.)

Use of Aspirin also is one of the main treatment ways to treat or prevent TIA.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
