What Are The Symptoms Of Lyme Disease?

Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: This is going to be complex. I have active Lyme Disease. I was clinically diagnosed and being successfully treated. I became depressed about Lyme and sought help. Instead of help, I was placed on Geodon without informed consent along with Cymbalta on top of the 1000 a day of Ceftin my dr had me on and 400 mg a day of doxy. They did not titrate it much but put me on 80mg over the mere course of eight days and 60 mg Cymbalta. They did not believe I had Lyme, though my dr who was treating me did and they did not cAll my dr. I became VERY ill. It started with slurring and weak legs. Then, jerking in my body and bad nerve pain in the arms like a cold chill. I quit the drug after the first er, actually all the drugs because I had no idea what was happening and no one gave me any advice medically at the ER and over the course of 24 hours I had convulsions ringing in my ears a full body spasm and was into hospital. They administered no IV and simply sent me to a mental institation based on nothing. I was not suicidal at the time. I spent four horrid weeks begging for help and to be released from this place. I had a small seizure the night I was admitted but no one saw it so they did not care. My muscles were stiff at a rock and I sweat profusely and had trouble with my vision. The nerve pain became terrible all over my body. On week two, I broke out in a rash and I had to tell them it might be DRESS because that's how little they cared. After checking my blood counts, they put me on prednisone, all without calling my dr about the Lyme which they refused to treat or address. I did NOT get better. I developed powerful electric shock through my whole body that would almost knock me out and weird sensations of numbness and exagerrated touch and weird sensations though my legs walking and balance issues. Blood pressure always low 85/58 or high for me in the 120/100 up to 150/100 when I collapsed and was sent to ER on week three. No help there. They also had me on benadryl. My eyes would change in pupils sizes, one big one small. I would have uncontrolled shivering and shaking and flushes in the face and the rash was hard to leave. I finally got out on a stay with my lawyer. My church prayed for me and everyone saw how sick I was. Flushed my whole body vibrating and buzzing inside. The next day I was crawling on the floor when my coordination went bad. Over time some impoved but still very strange exaggerrated sensations of touch, like the whole nerve is exposed and can feel a touch up and down the whole nerve and no sense of pressure when I pinch myself. I hvae burning in the nerves off and on and pee too much too often and also bm too much and have constantly pinprick pupils for over a week after being off everything and now my sleep is getting messed up where I only seem to get REM sleep which is very bad because I know I need nonRem to live. I have weird scary dreams since the drugs and seem to sleep very lightly and have very strange feelings as though many main sense nerves are dead or asleep and eyesight is bad in dim light. I am also very tired most of the time. I told my dr I was worried about HPA axis damage or automatic nerve damage and especially about the brainstem and the eye signs, but he more of less dismissed me because of his opinion about Lyme. he admitted I was never delusional. I am worried about damage to ANS and the hypthalamus and thalamus and pons parts of my brain. I have found that might be what happened. He would not listen, but I had a very bad REACTION with a premanent seeming effect and I have no idea if I will even make it now, especially with the sleep issues. What do you think could be wrong? How do i get some help? I am very desperate and sick.

Brief Answer:
Get non drug treatment for full sleep

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As I understand you are more worried about the health care process than the medical condition. You were complaining about various outlets where you were not cared for and not listened for. You developed a phobia and frustrated with the way things worked against you in the process of seeking health care. There is an object of frustration and the reality is not known to me as yet. I listened the one side of it and I would be happy to know what the doctors are thinking about your condition if not the Lyme disease.

There are multiple conditions that strike me with the description both organic and psychological ailments. I would not ascertain on any one of them without a proper examination and evidence from the prescriptions.

For now I feel that you just require a good sleep for few months before positivity instills in you. A REACTION is very dangerous in this situation. You should change the way you approach/treat the things around you. So I suggest you to meet a Sleep counselor or Reiki or meditation specialist who can teach you the postures/tips/mindfulness.

Get back to me once you start this sleep program.
