Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Most of the bones specially long bones are partly cartilaginous during early life.On those cartilages appear ossification centres during different periods of growth and ossify by deposition of calcium and transform into regular bone structure.

The Muscles of a newborn are nearly same in number, as there is growth and use of the muscles they hypertrophy and attain size over time with appropriate nutrition.

Hope I answered your query.

Wish you good health.
