Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.

Firstly, a drop of blood sugar from 500 to 210 is good.
But it is not yet completely controlled.

I think your doctor will need to increase the dose of Metformin.
Possibly a dose of 850 mg would be better.

As for diet, please stick to a regular diet.
Fluctuations in the diet (whether lessor more) would alter the sugars and thereby make sugar medicine difficult to prescribe.

Also, I think a moderate exercise regimen would help you control sugars further.
But again, this needs to be very regular.

And yes, it is very likely to be type 2 diabetes.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck,
Dr Mittal
