What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Kidney Stone?
Question: My husband thinks he is passing kidney stones and is in a lot of pain. He refuses to see the dr or go to ER. He is on Humara. I am worried. Should I be? this is the 4th day of pain

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has severe pain in abdomen since four days .
In urinary stone disease it is is not the only stone that needs to be removed but the primary object of the treatment is to save the kidney from damage caused due to obstruction to flow of urine from kidney to bladder .
Try to convince him and consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and get following basic tests done to decide regarding further management .
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis.
In the mean while give him
1) Antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin and Anti spasmodic like Cyclopam ,Drataverine twice daily .
2) Tomsulosin once daily
3) Ensure he drinks more water .
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
