Brief Answer:
Asbestosis only after 40 years of exposure

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking,

I can understand your concern,

According to the medical literature, for one subject to get asbestosis, should have been working (exposed) in that environment for nearly 20 years.

An asbestosis might appear 20 years after that time period which means in total after 40 years.

It is evident that not every subject that has worked with asbestos is supposed to develop asbestosis in his/her later life. This is not known why.

So, for just a short duration of exposure, you should not be worried.

Maybe you're having a viral infection

Do some rest, take painkillers(eg. Tylenol) if needed and drink a lot of water. Stay in the fresh air, well-ventilated rooms.

Best wishes and feel free to ask me again
