Question: Hello,
I recently purchased a penis traction device to treat my peyronie's disease (acute phase). I have been using it for two days now. This afternoon I had been wearing it for about 90 minutes -- the recommended wear time is 2 hour intervals, with breaks in between -- before I noticed that the tip of my penis had gone cold and the color was completely drained. I looked at the instructions for the device and nothing about these side-effects were mentioned, but clearly the circulation had been completely cut off. Upon doing some research online I found out that there is a certain risk of tissue death when circulation is cut off for extended periods of time. I immediately removed the device -- which I no longer plan on using -- and frantically began attempting to restore circulation to the area. I took a hot bath and massaged my penis, and the head quickly regained its natural pink color. However, I did not regain full sensitivity to the area for a little while longer. It has now been over five hours, and there has been no notable inflammation or changes in skin color. There is a little soreness, but overall everything seems to be looking, feeling, and working fine down there. But I am concerned that maybe I've triggered some kind of destructive process and I just haven't seen the full effects yet. Could you tell me whether I should still be concerned at this point? What signs and symptoms should I look out for and is it possible that all is not in fact well down there?
