What Are The Side Effects Of Long Term Intake Of L Montus?
Question: Hi,
I had used local steroid cream for 3 years. I didn't know that it was steroid and I knew people who used the same one for years and haven't got any sideeffects.
After that, I started having problems.. itching, redness and burning sensation. Doctor have has prescribed me some creams and medicnes. I had started feeling better. Now it has been a year. The dryness has become ok. But the problem is I still have to be dependent on L montus tablet. Initially,I used to take it twice in a day. Now I have to take it once in every two or three days.. else, I feel tenderness on the skin. And I still feel some roughness on the skin.. though not much.
How to get my skin normal. How long does it take to heal completely. I'm not sure if I'm ok now as feel I still need to be dependent on L montus. Currently I'm not using anything for my skin expect taking these tablets orally.

You had the side effects due to the prolonged use of topical steroids.
L Montus is basically an antiallergic. It won't have any side effects on prolonged use but still you should further try to reduce its intake to once weekly, then once in a fortnight and so on.
Do you have itching or tenderness on stopping it ?
For dryness you can use cetaphil moisturising lotion or epilyno lotion. Both are equally good and need to be used twice daily.
You don't have to worry as with time you will be able to reduce these tablets as well. It will take few more months for your skin to be completely fine.

Yes I feel tenderness if I stop the tablet.
I even get redness and swelling like ant bite. It goes away with simple face wash sometimes. And sometimes require tablet at night.
I even get small tiny pimple like things sometimes, one or two. It contains pus. They are really very tiny ones and itchy. If i press them to clear the puss, it becomes red at that area and itches alot. I get them rarely. I'm afraid if this is something scary. I get them very rarely like once in two weeks or month that too one or two. Nowadays I'm not getting them since two months.
But I feel this roughness on one side of cgeek if eating my skin. I'm afraid if it causes any damage to skin.
Did I make any permanent damange to skin?
Can I become better with time? Can I get soft and flawless skin? How long does it take?
Since summer has started, I'm feeling the symptoms more..
Havr I developed sensitivity? I really need to get normal skin. Sometimes,i'm usinf home remedies like milk with turmeric, honey or besan. As I heard they are natual antibiotics. Is it ok to use them ?
