Brief Answer:
Short term effects only

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxx, Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.

Briefly, Thyronorm is a medication which contains Thyroid hormone. This is a naturally occurring hormone which is broken down in the body over time, naturally.

While the extra hormone is active in your childs body, she may be hyperactive, sweaty and her heart will beat faster than it normally does, even when she is still. These side effects should last a few hours, maybe a day at the most.

In the meantime, keep her under observation and let her rest and drink plenty of non-sugary fluids (plain water, rather than juice or soft drinks).

She should be fine. If she starts complaining of chest pain or if she develops a tremor.. then you should take her to the hospital. That chances of that are very very very low though.

I hope this advice helps. Let me know how else I can help you.
