What Are The Side Effects Of Telmaxx-50?
Question: Hi Doctor, I have been prescribed with Telmaxx - 50. Is it good for me?, what are the side effects of this drug. I will be thankful if you can let me know .

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Telmaxx-50 contains two anti hypertensive drugs Telmisartan and Metoprolol. In general both the drugs are well tolerable. If you search for side effects of any drug you will get a long list of side effects. However it's not essential that evenone will get the side effect. The side effects which are most common for Telmisartan includes dry cough , fall in BP, vertigo and giddiness. For Metoprolol the side effects are commonly reduction in the heart rate, chest tightness specially in people with history of bronchial Asthma.
As far as Rosufit is concerned it is very well tolerated at dose of 5 mg a day but side effects includes Liver Dysfunction, Muscle pain.
So the best way is to start the medicines as advised by your doctor and watch if you get any of the side effects listed. In case you get report them to your doctor.
