Brief Answer:
Cephalexin can be given in pregnants

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear
welcome to health care magic.
thanks for keeping your trust in us.

I got your query.

I can understand your concern

As per your history your doctor advised a tocolytics along with antibiotic + urine alkalising agent.

This kind of advise is given when urinary tract infection is present.

As Uti in pregnants is a known cause of Premature delivery.

Treating UTI is very important.

The antibiotic given to you is Cephalexin.

This drug comes under Cat-B drug.
It means that there are no associated abnormalities in animal studies and human studies are not avilable.

In my clinic i use to prescribe this drug for pregnant mothers having UTI as treating Uti is very important to avoid preterm labour.

To my best knowledge your doctor prescribed good drugs and there is Notting to worry about it.

Hope I am able to answer your query.

feel free to discuss further.

Thanks for detailed answer.

I had urine test, and in that found occasional becateria, apart from everything was perfect. And I do not have any burning sensation or frequent urinate.
Sometime I feel pain in right side abdominal.
Am I affected with UTI ?
And should I take only Citralka (as it is not Anti-bioctic) or it has to take with SPORIDEX 500 only.

And what about Duvadilan medicine? I found mix review on internet

I have full trust on my doctor, still thought to get a second input

Thanks again for your help

Brief Answer:
UTI needs to be treated

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for the information.I understand your concern.
In my opinion in pregnancy there is a condition called asymptomatic bacteriuria where in there is bacteria in urine but with no symptoms of urinary infection.
This asymptomatic bacteriuria needs to be treated as it might lead to complications like kidney infection, preterm labour etc.
If there is suspicion of any preterm labour the tocolytics like duvadilon is given.
So I suggest you to continue the course of citralka and sporidex 500 mg .And then repeat the urine testing after finishing the course.
Duvadilon is safe.Dont worry. It can be taken when there is definite need.Your doctor might have suspected preterm labour so suggested it.
Urine infection is routine in pregnancy.Drink adequate fluids upto 3 litres, coconut water and cranberry juice to prevent urinary infection.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.

Thanks again for detailed answer.
My doctor asked to take 2 times for Citralka and Sporidex 500 in day for 5 days.
So, in total 10 table for Sporidex and 10 times cyrup for Citralka.

Do you think it is too much or initially I take smaller coure ( 3 days ) or 1 time in a day ?
I am just little concerned about Antibiotics, as this is my first baby I am quite worried

doctor

Brief Answer:
Antibiotics need to be taken completely

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion you should complete the course of antibiotics ie.,sporidex as indicated by your doctor for complete eradication of bacteria.
In case if you use it for shorter time the bacteria gains the resistance against the antibiotics.
And that particular antibiotic will not work for you for next time wherein you have to go for higher antibiotic.
So in order to avoid the complications you need to complete course.
The sporidex is a cephalosporin group drug which is safe to be used in pregnancy.
Citralka is not an antibiotic. It is safe and you can use.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
