Brief Answer:
Major fear is muscle pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these tremors. The most feared side effect of pravastatin is muscle pains. Tremors are not a recognized side effect of this medication. I will suggest that you continue this drug as prescribed because of the huge benefits it provides protecting the heart. I am of the thinking that these tremors are transient and would not last. For this, monitoring would provide more information. If it should persist or worsen, please consult for proper investigation as this is not caused by pravastatin. These tremors may be linked with an anxiety attack. Do you take any stimulants like coffee? Mild tremors alone are largely insufficient to raise the suspicion of parkinson's disease.

In all, not a side effect of this drug. May be more related to anxiety and would subside. Would recommend further medical attention if the symptoms persist pr worsen. For now, monitor only.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

What about the combination of blood pressure medicine {carvedile OL 6.25 mg 2x daily with the provastain sodium 40 mg 2 x a day}? I've taken my blood pressure when having tremors and it remains normal along wsith my pulse rate.
