What Are The Side Effects Of Minoz OD?

Question: I have been having Minoz OD 100 mg contiinuosly for few months. It has reduced my acne, just wanted to check if there is any side affect to this medicine?

Moniz OD is an antibiotic and can cause some side effects like alteration of flora, reduced blood cell counts, thyroid issues, headache, etc.

Any antibiotic should be taken for a limited time.

Hi again

It is commonly seen that acne worsen after stopping Minoz OD. It can be taken for 4-12 weeks but longer periods or at intervals is not recommended. You can try topical adapalene + benzoyl peroxide combination only on the affected areas to keep it under check. Since you are of young age I will not suggest stronger medicines like isotretinoin.

Acne are common in young age due to hormones and subside with advancing age. Drink cleaner water.
