What Are The Side Effects Of Metpure?
Question: hi, my father is high bp patient from last 5 year & takem medicine from 3 year. He is taking aten 50 .
He is now suffering from hydrocele problem.His hydrocele become large in size & doctor suggest him surgery for this because there is no effect of any drugs in this problem.Actually he has been suffering from filarial hydrocele. Now doctor change his bp medicine & prescribed metpure am 5 + 50.i want to know that is this safe for him or drug cause any severe side effect

As his BP is not controlled by a single drug,it is natural to shift into Combination drugs.
Metoprolol and Amlodipine combination is a safe combination for control of BP.Many patients of mine were benefitted with this combination. Few side effects like Dizziness,weakness etc are described in literature. But, the benefits over weigh the side effects.
As your Surgeon said,Hydrocele has to be managed surgically. He can undergo surgery once his BP comes to normal.It is a simple procedure.
