sir, my brother son suffering epilepsy since last one & half year and as per neurologist he countiune medicine Keppra 500 mg -3 times a day and Tab frisium-10mg at night last one year and recentlt dr.add the medicine Encorate 500mg in twice a day his age is 17 years so all those medicine will contuine or any any side effect for or any medicine qty be less or same pl.tell me and also tell me that the epilepsy is quarebal or not or whole life take the medicine,pl.give me reply and your valuable feed back

I have noted the diagnosis and seen the current prescription of the patient.
As per the diagnosis of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (a type of epilepsy), his medications are along correct lines. Based on the degree of seizure control, medications may be reduced. However, medications would be needed for long term.
There is no cure for epilepsy, however, it can be kept under control with proper medications.
