Brief Answer:
Need not worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.

Acitrom contains the anticoagulant acenocoumarol.
Like any other drugs, this also can cause some side effects. Common side effects reported are nausea, vomiting, rashes, joint pains, headache, alopecia etc. But, most patients tolerates the drug well without difficulty. Serious side effects like bleeding are rare if we keep INR in the therapeutic range with regular follow up.

We use a drug when the benefits much outweighs the side effects. After heart surgery it is very important to keep blood clotting potential low to avoid sudden thromboembolic events.
So kindly adhere to your doctors advice. Any discomfort you can freely discuss during followup.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
