Please let me know if any one has cured a patient with sexual side effects of finesteride. Are the Side effects really reversible as i am still facing them even after 3 years after discontinuing the medicine.

I am experiencing decrease in libdo and erectile dysfunction. I stopped medicine 3 years ago and my side effects still did not go away

When I see someone like you in my practice, I order the following tests in addition to a thorough physical examination including a genital check:
CBC
CMP
TSH
Free T4
Total Testosterone
SHBG
Prolactin
HbA1c
Low testosterone can result in symptoms similar to the ones you are reporting. If it is low, further tests will be necessary to determine the cause.
The other tests above also look for other potential causes of your problem.
These tests do not require fasting but must be done in the morning around 9 am
