Question: my Brother had a virtual colonoscopy yesterday and when it was finished the nurse said oh the tube has fallen out but it is ok as his bowel was still inflated. , my worry is i asked about the ballon that had been inflated had not come out nurse said it had probably popped.whether it had or not would it causem problem being left inside of him as he is cyerable pausey he may not tell me if he feels unwell i would like your input on this please he is age 66 I have asked the duty nurse at medical centreand she had no idea.so as i am subcribed with healthcare magic i decided to ask you ..as i said he is cereble pausey,epilepsy and has had stent put in after heart attack. his medications are Tegretol 200mg Dilantin 50 mg,' Metoprolol succ.95mg ,Atorvastatin20mg, Terazosin HCL 5mg, Candesartan cilexeti 8mg Folic acid 5mg Asprin 100mg Clopidogrel,75mg bpk .he has no allergies .Hoping you can help You's sincerley XXXXXXX

First and foremost let me reassure you that there is no cause for concern.
Even if the bulb of the tube is not deflated, it will rupture and be passed out. If there is no distension/fullness of abdomen there is absolutely no reason to be worried about.
