What Are The Repercussions Of Accidentally Swallowing Flutibact Ointment?

Question: my 15 months old son has swallowed some flutibact ointment in afternoon. after that he vomited 3 times till now. he is feeling good now but should i consult a doctor immediately or shall i wait for some more time and observe him?

I understand your concern.

Since he vomited thrice,much of the drug might have been removed from the body.

Since he is currently okay,you need not worry much.

Since Flutibact is a steroidal ointment,there is a possibility of serum electrolyte disturbances.

Hence keep a watch on baby general behavior,urine output for next 24 hours.
Call for doctor's help only if there is a change in above parameters.

Adequate hydrate your child through ORS .

As of now,there seems to be no immediate threat.
