Brief Answer:
No need to panic - but be on look out for vaginal discharge and irritation

Detailed Answer:
Hi....you need not panic. Suppository is a medicine which is meant to dissolve and get absorbed through mucosal surface. Both rectum and vagina have mucosal surfaces. But as the drug is meant to be inserted into rectum the absorption form vaginal mucosa might be slightly different.

But if the kid develops any vaginal discharge or redness or swelling, then you need to get her examined by a pediatrician.

You have not mentioned but I hope you have removed the suppository as soon as you have realized that it is in the wrong place.

Brief Answer:
It might have melted by then - dont worry - watch for signs of irritation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi...that means it might have melted by then - don't worry - watch for signs of irritation (which I have mentioned in my previous interaction with you).

As I have already mentioned the drug would get absorbed from the vaginal mucosal surface. Do not worry.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
