Question: Hi. I am 33 weeks pregnant. My sugar levels were somewhat higher so my dr. put me on insulin of 2 units each before breakfast and dinner. My dr. had advised Regular Human Insulin. But I just noticed that I had taken Human Insulin 30/70. Is this going to harm? What should be done next please suggest.

Brief Answer:
Check blood sugar levels.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.

Regular human insulin is a short acting insulin usually control post meal blood sugar levels.
Human insulin 30/70 contains regular insulin and intermediate acting insulin in combination.

2 units of Insulin 30/70 (for Regular insulin) may not have adverse effect as compared to Regular insulin.
But I may suggest to check your blood sugar levels immediately hold next dose of insulin and consult your treating doctor immediately.

For better opinion let me know your blood tests done and blood sugar levels.

Hope this helps you.
