Brief Answer: The first&best option is Laparoscopic procedure... Detailed Answer: Hi, There are two main procedure of gall bladder surgery (cholecystectomy): - arthroscopic/laparoscopic (minimal invasive which requiries several small incisions) - major laparatomy surgery requires a large incision to remove gallbladder The first best option to remove gall-bladder is the laparoscopic one as it has the shortest time of recovery. If some complications will be seen during such procedure, then, it will be decided to go for laparotomy. Hope it was of help! Dr.Klerida
