Brief Answer:
post menopausal symptoms+ hot flashes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The typical feeling of complete body on fire, occurring suddenly and leaving in a flash with peripheries colder than the rest of the body are all a part of MENOPAUSAL SYNDROME due to absence of indigenous production of oestrogen by ovaries and likely depletion in body. The warmth feeling is called hot flash and is fairly common after menopause. This may happen even 5-6 times in a day. At 70 years of age if you have been tolerating them well without any adjunctive medications or Hormone replacements then you have been doing a great job with life style modifications which is what is advised as first line of conservative management.
If you feel that these symptoms have been worrisome and have started affecting your daily life style then you may discuss the option of starting HRT with your physician and can start with low dose oestrogen vaginal creams thrice a week to start with.
i hope i have answered your query in detail,
Wishing you good health,
Regards

Brief Answer:
these are hot flashes...post menopausal...explained.

Detailed Answer:
Yes , i understand that your menses have stopped 15 years back and you have attained menopause 15 years back , but these post menopausal symptoms are not always exhibited in every woman who has been taking a good diet especially brassica group of veggies which have natural oestrogen's and keeping herself well hydrated and exercising well.
The levels of oestrogen do tend to fall when the life style modifications however take a back seat and the exogenous oestrogen's you have been taking don't replenish the bodily needs. Hence you get these HOT FLASHE tHEN. you may get a hormonal profile done and also look for hypothyroidism which can explain your cold peripheries , but if TSH levels are normal they also form a part of this syndrome.
You may consult your physician in detail and discuss the options and of course the diagnosis which you feel is not appropriate .
I am sure he would advise HRT for you ( hormone replacement therapy).
regards
