Brief Answer:
choose which best suits you

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and following is the recommended protocol at your age (88years):

1. I should recommend you to go for acupressure [which produces fewer side effects] and is similar to ‘massage therapy’ and although acupuncture bring quick relief but is associated with side effects [since pricking needles are used to clear blocked channels thus releasing toxin in the blood]

2. Since Acupuncture is performed by a practitioner thus regular visit and follow ups are required, on the other hand acupressure can be learned from a hand book and can be performed by oneself at home.

3. Side effects could result from improper handling/insertion of needle or improper training of acupuncturist, such as: accidental puncture of lungs, viral hepatitis, bacterial infections, soreness, bruising.
