What Are The Chances Of Herpes Transmission By Skin To Skin Contact?

default
Posted on Tue, 30 Jun 2015
Question: Hello,
I recently visited a strip club and had several private dances. I am concerned about contracting herpes. I did suck on the strippers nipples during a private dance. She also gave me several lap dances. I wore shorts, my genital area was covered but I am concerned that I contracted herpes on my inner thigh or legs from the dance, which lasted several mintues. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of herpes transmission is almost nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.

Welcome to health care magic.I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.

Herpes simplex Virus( HSV 1 0r 2) can be transmitted by skin to skin contact or by kiss or as STD.The chances are higher if there are active lesions during the time of contact.
The chances of transmission is higher, if there were active lesions around nipples. If present it would have come to your notice. So herpes transmission is unlikely.
Cloth is an effective barrier. Presence of cloth during contact reduces the chances of transmission to almost nil.
Moreover the chances of active lesions at the time of contact is less.
You can enquire about the lesions if possible from the person to be relieved of anxiety.
The possibility of acquiring herpes by the modes described is very low or almost nil.

Herpes will usually manifest by 2-4 weeks if infected.

You can get back to me for any clarifications.
Thank you

If legs and inner thighs were exposed during the private dance, what are the chances of herpes exposure? Am I at a higher risk?
