Question: Can getting osteoarthritis in an injured knee affect the chances of getting it in your good knee. An example would be placing more weight on your other knee to reduce pain in the bad knee over time?

Osteoarthritis is a age related disorder, and weight bearing can increased it. So when you have arthritis in one knee, your mind try to put more weight on normal side knee and spine. So there is high chances of back pain and knee pain, leading to high chances of knee arthritis.
I would suggest you to get your self treated as soon as possible to prevent arthritis in normal knee.
